I would like to thank everyone for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser in 2008. Sierra Vista children and community raised over $4,000.00 for the American Heart Association. Check the link above to see how you can be more involved in helping to fight heart disease.

Due to construction and lack of playground space and recess time PPK was not held this year..

In December of 2007 Seth Arsenau came to our school to demonstrate his expertise of several wheelchair sports

The following individuals are the top runners so far. The guidelines were to run during the lunch recess. This recess is 15 minutes long. The challenge was set to keep children active during school. The event is visible to all of the staff and students.

Exceptional Runners will receive awards during the awards ceremony in May

Fit and Fun at Sierra Vista!!!!!!!

A Project Fit America School
Sierra Vista ES received a grant several years ago.
The grant was from Project Fit America
The PFA curriculum is an integral part of the physical education program. The PE teachers continue to teach about cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, agility and nutrition. PFA stresses all of these areas which lead to a healthy lifestyle for our children and adults.
